Introduction
Dibaajimo is an indigenous led digital media company producing indigenous stories through animation, film, interactive media, and content with a focus on language revitalization. Headquartered in Sault Ste. Marie, Northern Ontario, Canada. Our goal is to help teach, guide, mentor, and consult the creation of minority driven stories, help connect talent to projects, and to reach broader audiences and generate important indigenous focused media for the next generation.
Our main series Planet Nova is an 8 episode series currently in mid production. This animated series is aimed towards a younger audience introducing them to Anishinaabemowin, cultural teaching, mythology, and original story telling.
As an indigenous run digital media company, we plan to recruit and train indigenous creatives in a wide variety of roles to help produce future productions. These individuals will be the first to be notified in upcoming projects that will need speakers, consultants, design, animations, and much more.
